About Me
Background
My name is Andrew Pellegrini and I am an emerging Sports Business professional whose journey has only just begun. I was born in Hartford, Connecticut, and was raised across the East Coast and Midwest. My story is one rooted in resilience, persistence, and a relentless pursuit of success.
I am currently earning my Bachelor’s in Sports Business, focused primarily on breaking into the sports industry in the Operations and Player Development sectors. I am very passionate about statistics, player performance, and management. Whether in the office, or at the stadium, I will bring authenticity and discipline to every environment I encounter.
Intern Experience
I have had many great experiences that have shaped my perspective and knowledge in the sports business industry for different organizations in different sports. In 2023, I had an internship with the Cleveland Guardians as a Spring Training Operations Intern, where I learned a lot about the internal movements and tasks that are required for a Major League club to operate smoothly during the most fundamental part of the baseball season.
Experience Abroad
In the summer of 2025, I had an incredible opportunity to participate in a 2 month study abroad program in Madrid, Spain with Real Madrid CF. While in Spain, I learned about the sports industry in Spain with in-person events and classes within the sports of soccer, basketball, padel, equestrian and more. This experience showed me how detailed the inner workings of a sports organization or agency are and how I can apply these lessons to future experiences and opportunities.
Experience at Home
During the 2024 MLB season, I worked as a Team Store Associate with Levy Retail in Chase Field, home of the MLB's Arizona Diamondbacks. This experience taught me about the operations and logistics required to successfully operate a pro sports team store. It was great to get to experience a full season of MLB home games and interact with fans and coworkers from all different walks of life. My time at the team store taught me how to successfully run a merch stand solo and keep the stand clean, organized, and welcoming.
